Week 3

This is an image from the 'The Purple Frog Group' when I was looking under groups for "frogs". The caption is 'just playing around'. My favourite technology is simply email for contacting anyone around the world immediately, as long as I have their correct address and they can reply at leisure. My pet related hate is spam, and providers that can not distinguish the difference between 'real messages' and spam.

Week 2

I uploaded these images from myspace - it took several attempts to be able to do this - one is from a list of movies, and the other from a photograph group. Myspace was the most interesting of this group of sites for me - I looked at friends poetry sites and a music group site and saw how they used myspace to promote what they do and give information. In Bebo the site setup by a fellow Auckland City Libraries worker was reluctant to accept me as a "friend" perhaps because I'm using a fictitious name. Facebook I can see people would use to meet others online. Learning about these sites and joining was challenging.

Week 1

I've started my blog today. Searching for a name that wasn't taken made me realise how unoriginal I was being. Several attempts to set-up and get acceptance into the system. Now officially signed up. Attempts to change colours were not all successful and some not visible yet. The overall vision may get clearer further in from entry point, with understanding of links and connections.
